Doom

Someone here knows the ancient game called ''Doom''?
You've got Final Doom, Ultimate Doom, Doom 2 & Doom 3.
But actually I was talking about ''Final Doom, Ultimate & Doom 2.
Someone here have or play it? Maybe know it?
I was just wondering because I play it now a few days with my Dad again.
I finished the game's already a few times but who cares.
It was in his time the Best Action Game .aka. Game of the Year.

A great game in all of its incarnations.
The Granddaddy of First Person Shooters!
It was also one of the first network games I ever played.
It saved my sanity, years ago, when I had a graveyard shift job and no one around.

This was also the first game I ever played.
Now it's one of the most ugly games in the world but it still is an awesome game for me.

I'm sorry to disagree Hellfire but Doom wasn't the first FPS game :lol:

I've played that a long time ago when I was a little child on my first pc (Intel 386 with 8MB RAM, 40mhz and 256mb of hard disk). I still have that pc but it's not working since I've never found a missing piece for it.

I really liked both Doom and Wolf3D. Actually, there are a couple of secret levels on Doom 2 which are based on some Wolf3D levels.

You guys are so wrong, it was back in the 70's from a game called Maze War! At least that's what some consider the start of FPS gaming. :wink:

But since this topic is about Doom, it's interesting to see how far games have come in a short while. It had to start somewhere & I'm happy to be around when it came out. :)

Dooms awesome lol i used to have Doom and Doom][ on my nokia
used to play it on the bus and stuff. :D

I´ve realized I still have a copy of Doom2 on my pc with Windows 98. If anyone here knows how to play doom online we can set up a match of doom!

u just need Doom 95 i think then the WAD files for it

i remember having doom 95 and seeing a online option so u probly just need that and the wads

I don´t have doom 95. I believe I only have a shareware copy of it. :lol:

http://www.zdaemon.org/Click on the link and you'll see some files, take the one that is good for you.
Than install and you'll get a progam to play Doom2 online.
So make sure you installed Doom2 :D
