I' ve made some changes on one of my home systems.
New motherboard, HD, RAM & other goodies.
Nothing earth shattering due to budget limits, but an improvement nonetheless.
For a change, I loaded Ubuntu 8.whatever - the recent version.
Not sure If I want this to be my primary O.S. but want to give it a try.
Seems like a lot of freekin effort to install UT, all the bonus packs and then finally run it.
Does anyone else run UT under Linux and is it worth the extra effort to set it up?
I've searched around on here and didn't find any other posts.
I found this link that seems straight forward, http://www.blog.highub.com/linux/instal ... on-ubuntu/ but do any of you Redeemer maniacs have any wise advice before I dive in on this project?

Check out the links on this page:

I don't know of they are working but you should try it.

That's exactly what I needed.
Thanks, HF.

Re: UT & Linux
Hey Fuzz_Ball, I have never tried Linux but I feel strongly that this site is one of the best ever when it comes to Linux and UT together:

Let us know if it helps.

Re: UT & Linux
Thank you, Godfather.
Seems like a lot of work, uncertainty and workarounds (or is it works-around?) to play this GAME!
Since I have several systems, I'm gonna go with what I know and load good ol' Win-Doze just to get back "in the game".
Life IS busy and all I wanna do is up my frags!
When I do get Linux to run UT, I'll be sure to share my findings.
Thanks, you guys for your input.
