Well, if it is dying...It will go down with a fight...I'll always keep coming back...like I said in my ealier post, I can't get the hang of the NEWER games. So here I stay...get blown up...blowing other people up...getting telefragged AND telefragging other people.

Hahahaha! A UT support group! That made me laugh good. Thanks. Folks, UT has been dying for years and years now. The empty servers have always been there. I'm sorry to say but at this rate UT will be dead in less than another 23 years. I'm sorry too but it is true my friends. We only have about 23 years of playing this left before it all just goes away. All of our servers do pretty well I think and there are many more servers out there that are lots busier than ours. CTF gametype servers come to mind. Those people are hooked for life I tell you.

There ARE a lot of servers out there but it takes a community like this to get players interested.

Good promotion and mutual respect will lead to a good reputation. Many servers are just there and no one knows about them. Others are jam packed with fraggin' mother fraggers all night long.

It's definitely a niche but the game is easy to load on nearly any machine that is still working today. We see players form all over the world at any given time.

UT online isn't some Kevin Costner movie. Just because you build it, doesn't mean they'll come.

I make copies & give them to friends and maybe one day, they'll venture online as I did only this past fall.

Whatever, kick me...hit me...but don't chit me.
We all play to win...I know because I watch all you guys.
So don't feed me that "fun/enjoyment" crap and think I believe it.
You think you're fooling someone but it ain't me.
So...
With that being said...I actually played the other day for the "fun" of it.
I was playing with one of player (newbie) and I pretty much just
followed him around, watching him do what he does.
I kept it close and basically only killed him...the game took about
20 min but it was kind of fun...I even lost to see what reaction
I would get from this other player...and he was excited !!!
He said he had "fun" and I believed him...and you know what
I to had fun and I was happy for the guy...
Then the next game I kind of showed him around, even showed
him how to escape a missile. I showed him I was better then what
he perceived the first game.
But it's one of those things where he won't run when he sees me now.
Because I didn't scare him off like I use to to all newbies.
So this goes out to all you "better players"....and you know who you are.
Just be a little nicer to "lesser" talented players...we can't afford to lose them.

Yo MEAT, I was on today...with a newbie...did what you did. I offered to show him some secret places and stuff...and he blew me off....in not so nice words. So I kicked his newbie a$$ and he left. I tried buddy ! Mind you, there are some that will take the help and actually thank you.
