LOL! I was going to suggest on that thread that you make your case on this one. I see you beat me to it. Good! Get all of my questions answered and then bug me for another week or so and I will get this done for you. I feel bad to have this map at all being that gopo did everything but every other map maker did everything too sand I have their maps right?

Gopo, tell me it is ok to add it and tell me it will not be a hassle and I will add it. Otherwise I won't. Simple as that!

Quick update guys. I had a request to do some alteration on MH-IndianaJones and I found the problem with the blade. I added an update to the UMH website and if anyone is interested I'll post the map link here too.

Bottom line both Herm and I were right. The blade didn't kill you correctly but it wasn't the mod doing it. I had the mover tagged with bad information. It is fixed and tested (thank you Fuzzy) and works as it should.

Herm, here is the map:

http://agutgopostal.com/Herm/MH-Indiana ... amp%7d.unr

Now the file size is larger, but the special room has a requested change. If you want me to fix your version let me know and I will and post it to you. Other than that and fixing the blades, there are no changes.

Also Herm, I had finished this a bit back. I didn't want to intrude on your family issues so I tossed it on the backburner:

http://agutgopostal.com/Herm/HermMod.zip

It's a custom version of the no boosting mod with the changes you requested. Server package line needed:
***************
ServerPackages=HermModv1
***************
Adjust the ini as you see fit. You can delete the indiana reference if you like. It won't make a difference in the new map. The boost/noboost mutate commands remained the same, as you already have chat spam for that. If you have other changes you want added, let me know and I'll set you up. Oh you'll see a couple of new things in your log. There will be this section at the head of each map-
ScriptLog: ###############################
ScriptLog: # HermMod is ON! #
ScriptLog: # HermMod Loaded #
ScriptLog: ###############################
As long as it says LOADED then the mod is ok and installed correctly. You'll also see-
"Fixed this mover to not be cheated by grab command: Mover12"
That lets you know how many movers were adjusted to negate the grab cheat. Trust me, there are a bunch in the maps. I can't believe more people don't regularly use it.

On a personal note Herm, I'm glad to see you posting.

I'm ready. Let's start getting new maps on the MHM server one at a time. Which map needs to go on first? Give me a link to it if you can't send it to me. Make sure it is the latest greatest version of that map too.

Let's start getting busy again people!

Whoa already?

here are some to start-->
Hebereke 4--> Download link-->http://www.mediafire.com/file/cqbzxnwmy ... ke4(R).zip Fun map only thing is you only get a flak and deemer at the beginning, but fun still its the same as the other hebereke maps (excluding the gaiden versions)

MH-Doom][Courtyard-fix3.zip-->Download Link-->http://www.mediafire.com/?i25dbhddmleIncredibly fun map based off of the Doom courtyard level, not only fun but brings back some great memories of the old FPS.

MH-IceSkaarjAttack1_and_2-->Download Link-->http://www.mediafire.com/file/1btyqy9t9 ... _and_2.zip
These are two different maps both pretty fun, although if i remember correctly the second one is more fun. These are DIFFERENT maps and are both the final versions of each map i believe.

Im pretty sure all 4 of these maps are not on the server, its a nice start for new maps, but its hard to find new ones it seems less are being made recently.....
Please let me know if you have any problems
Hope it helps
BoSs is in the HOUSE!

MH-MHMDeadCityVillage{beta7}

Is there anyone else who is still interested in that MHMVillage map?
May we use it? The latest version available is the Beta7, there are just two problems:

1) I'm not sure Hermskii's server can handle it, since it's pretty big in size
2) Some packages need to be added into the "ServerPackages" list and one of them in the MapVoteLA as a mutator:

The ServerPackages should be (note that I'm not 100% sure)

villagemonsters
MHTransRed
MHTransBlue
sendmepackingv5

while the Mutator entry is

sendmepackingv5.mutsendmepacking

The locationlist.INI file (dummy file) needs to be replaced with the actual one containing the real passwords that I'm sure I've already sent to Herm (but if needed I may send it once again)

Here are all the required files (apart from the real passwords and the UZ files) if you're interested:

Pots you might be better served by using the village map that was a couple of versions back. I did a *lot* of moving/altering of things trying to fix the bsp errors and frankly the last few versions were a wreck. It could create more problems than positives. There are just too many vertexes with all the houses, and it creates a bsp nightmare. I had wanted to do so much, but it turned into an embarrasing mess because I didn't plan ahead. There is a very real possibility that errors could be different each time the map loads, but I can guarantee you'll have issues.

If it were me, I'd spend a weekend and set up the large cylinder building as an apartment (the one with the skaarj). Clone that into the map 6, 7 times and import the decorations people already have into each one's top room. Then replace the (stupid) houses with the towers and you'll have a nice skyline. The warp mod can still be used, it takes very little time to adjust the locations. You could probably even get away with putting the jets back in.

Bottom line, I'd dump the village as it is. Had it been able to be fixed, I'd have already used it by now for something.

Maybe we could use the version without the DeadCity part, it was more stable, the problem is it requires a MonsterEnd trigger.

Yes, it also meant we got bored more easily.
We need SOMETHING to kill, even if it's just a Godz style chamber with portals to respawning monster rooms...
Similar to the academy only designed for battle instead of anything else, with textures, cover, maybe even powerups.

I was thinking we could have all the houses in a central cube, either dead ends leading from one way doors in corridors, or around the edges of the map, or in a central compound surrounded by a wall.
I have some mental blueprints for all of these ideas, especially the Godz style chambers. I may have to work on these and add them to my imaginary maplist at #4, after MH-Ascent, MH-Timeshift, and MH-Rooftops.
Anyway, none of us really know how to do stuff like that so someone remind me why I made these suggestions...
Oh right, I'm just showing off again. :?

Bio that is exactly what i should have done. Originally I thought of making the one central large building with all the floors into apartment levels (which is the way to do it) but I played MH-Winter and I thought "Wow, that would make a nice cottage for a village" not even considering the amount of faces the mesh has. Then like a total nub I cloned the heck out of it until it brought the server to its knees. I should have known there was a reason those maps arent around for UT...

I think most of us wouldn't mind any glitchs that happen in the map. We used to use the glitch to our advantage like the invisible land to walk on :P just makes it more interesting.
But if it will affect Herms server and not just the map then I would vote we dont use the glitched version with deadcity on it.

Either that or we try a cube version...even we can copy-paste into a cube right? :P

Personally I'm OK with whatever happens, I'm going to have another look around the editor tutorials to see if my monster chambers could ever exist.

PS: Hey Ice, your posts look so much better now you have an avatar and signature :wink:

I just want the village back whatever Version it is.
But if it crashes the server like Ice said then we just use another version?

I hope it'll be back soon! I want to play it again with all of us :P
