What do you mean your server? Sorry about all of the outages. between my house getting too hot each day and my sone powering down the server each time he walks past it CG and MHM have suffered lots. I'll be honest too. I don't see a solution either way to resolving this problem.

Server went down again today, when there were 9 people on!!!

Herm, put the server box up on a table to that the little rascal can't turn it off! My girl figured out the power button on the TV, so we're battling the same problem.

It looks like it overheated today about 13:00. I have seen inside and can see that just simply cleaning it out will help a lot. I'll get that done this weekend. I'm going to put tape over the buttons. That should stop him.

I have so many old PCs and old parts around here that I have stripped and replaced and such thatI'm usually able to build a PC outright at almost any time. One of the companants I had several of were power supplies that I pulled from people's dead PC's that they brought to me to fix and when we could not get them fixed, they usually gave me the PC for trying.

I never really had a real way to check these power supplies until yesterday. I went and bought a power supply tester for about $12 and was able to test about 10 power supplies. Of the 10 only about 3 passed but they were all pretty weak being 200w and 250w supplies. This motivated me to test the one in the server and the one in my main box. The server failed miserably so I changed it out with a old but good one and now the server turns on and off just as it is supposed to. My main PC had one that is too strong yet bad and I don't have a replacement for it yet so I'm going back up to the PC place today to get it a new power supply.

I hope this reduces the outages being that I tend to lose power here almost every single time it rains. AT least now the server will actully boot up and launch again now. For the last 6 or so months it would half boot but never fully start up and the server would stay down. We'll see.

Now if I can actully stop my kid from turning it off each time he walks past it I'll be in great shape! The overheat issue will remain until I move into a better house as my AC doesn't stand a chnce to keep this house cool during the day. I will be cleaning the server up and hope that the removed dust will make a difference. Later!

Anyone having disconnecting problems at CG?
It starts with big time lag. Then it will be as if
I'm the only one playing but I'm not because I'm
weaponless and can't teleport. Then I lose connection.
Plus I lose internet service from my provider.
Then I reboot and it's all better until I play at CG.
Doesn't happen on other servers....hmm?

Time warner struck again! They connected a new neighbor and disconected me. This is like the 6 time this has happened and I escalated the crap out of it this time. I have bypassed their incompetance and I have my service running off a splitter with a different neighbor now. More when I learn more. Later!

Still having issues staying connected to your server.
I get on then 2 sec later nothing happens.
I hear others shooting but it's as if I'm the only one there.
