Got my new mouse :)

It isn't really christmas yet but I received a new mouse from my parents
It's called Logitech G5 Gaming Mouse.



You can put weights in it so it is comfortable for you.
It has buttons to change the Mouse speed in game.
And some other extra's..
It's awesome

Speaking of mouses...I get this question/comment a lot and they seem to always blame it on the server.
And maybe you have experienced it...but it's when a different weapon all of a sudden pops up.
Maybe it's in the heat of battle or maybe you're trying to run and fire at the same time and it just happens.
You lose the weapon you were using and something else comes up or maybe you were using your transloc
and all of a sudden your redeemer comes up.
This ever happen to you?
Well I was showing a friend how to play these silly game when I noticed it happened to him a number of times.
So I watched to see if he was doing anything different or wrong and he was (sort of).
I have a somewhat standard mouse...two top buttons and a scroll wheel...nothing special.
And when I use it (left hand) I put my middle finger on the left button and index on the right.
But what I noticed with my friend was he only used his index finger and just went back and forth on buttons.
And when he did that he would slide his finger across the scroll wheel...which would occassionally bring up the previous
weapon or just change weapons.
Nothing wrong with it but I was wondering if anyone else out there uses the one finger technique?

Nice write up MEAT. My pointer finger is primary fire and my shoot the rod finger is secondary fire. My pointer finger spins the wheel to change weapons. Roll down is last weapon and roll up is next weapon. At least that how I did it a few years back when I still played. Hehe.

That happens to me but not because of the wheel or something. When I ran out of ammo sometimes UT switches to the next wep in order of priority. And redeemer is by default the wep with the biggest priority, so it switches to Deemer. I never have autoswitch weapons enabled but this still happens.

About the fingers, I use index finger for primary fire, mouse center (the wheel button which activates Ripper), mouse wheel up (for tloc) and mouse wheel down for previous weapon. Middle finger for secondary fire, and well, thumb for the two buttons my mouse has on the left side (one of them activates PulseGun and the other, Minigun).

You know you can change the weapon priorities right?
I have mine set up so the redeemer is below even the melee weapons, which as we know never run out of ammunition, so it's impossible for me to auto-switch to a redeemer.
I can still pull it out on accident via mousewheel, but it's one less thing to worry about.

Great now Hellfires aim has gotten even better
