All of these stories kinda explain the way Walt Disney took inspiration for his character Donald "David" Duck. Maybe it's just me but I can see a relationship (no offence though).

Re: Vent thread
At first your thought was too deep since I did not know the history of Donald Duck, so I had to look it up. "Donald's most famous personality trait is his easily provoked and explosive temper. Donald Duck has been officially honored as the third most popular cartoon character of all time with Bugs Bunny of Warner Bros. Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies at number two and fellow Disney creation Mickey Mouse who is number one." "However, in The Three Caballeros (1944), his birthday is given as simply "Friday the 13th", which is in reference to the bad luck he experiences in almost all his cartoon appearances. Well first off, i would not be wearing the blue shirt and hat....

I know things can be worse or can get worse. So I don't have it so bad, it is just my turn to spend extra money that I do have or want to spend. It is not always this way...Just my turn. It will pass. Thanks POTS for your observations.

Here is the Original Daisy Duke, Catherine BachFuzz_Ball wrote:Ok, David how about those Daisy Duke pics - all 3, if you please!

Jessica Simpson

April Scott

Of course my wife stated that Donald Duck was with Daisy Duck....... I tried to explain to her that it was a play in words... Daisy Duck and Daisy Duke......she does not get but it is an excuse to look and post at the above pictures.

P.S. Unlike Donald Duck though, you have an enviable level of self-control.

Get glasses POTS! Catherine Bach is by far the best Daisy ever and Jessica Simpson was awesome in her bathing suit scene in the movie. I don't even know who April is.

April Scott is the person who played Daisy in "The Dukes of Hazzard: The Beginning" that came out in 2007.Hermskii wrote:Get glasses POTS! Catherine Bach is by far the best Daisy ever and Jessica Simpson was awesome in her bathing suit scene in the movie. I don't even know who April is.
I can not say that I have seen any of the movies of Dukes of Hazzard. I remember watching the TV show.

Alright....... this pisses me off. Sorry about the language, but this story just proved what "society" we have these days.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp ... 5#36776405
The guy did the right thing, but no one steps up and helps him.

Yep. I would have at least called 911 and likely would have helped on the spot. This is sad what is happening to our "society".

Re: Vent thread
Concerning my internet provider, again.... Over the weekend my internet service was very poor. The ping I had during the weekend was just very poor. I was trying to play, but the ping on any server was 300 and above for most part, mostly above such as 500+. I went to pingtest.net and speedtest.net and the results were...well.....poor. I contacted my service provider and spoke to the "tech support". I explained to them about the slow internet and about the ping. You know what she told me about the ping
She stated that they as a provider don't care about the ping and that they make no guarantee about the ping. So......I spent about 70-90 minutes on the phone with her as I ran through tests that she has asked me to perform. She observed from her end on how the internet was screwing up and acting abnormal. After all the tests, she told me that it is not my computers (we tried multiple computers and bypass routers and such) and that it is service issues on their end that they were not aware of. So she thanked me for bringing it to their attention.
She then advised me that the internet service plan I have is no longer offered, I was on the first internet service that they provided which was 3mb download speed. She stated that the plan is now 5mb download speed and she will change my plan. She stated that there is no price increase because the 5mb replaced the 3mb.... Anyways,
They do not care about ping..Is that true at other providers? This is the second tech told me that the issues is on the service provider and they claim that they will fix it but yet nothings has been done about it.

One thing I do know, is that ping can and is affected by more than just your ISP.
It can be affected by anything between you and servers and can also be affected by how many Other People are connected in your area that belong to your ISP - even those that Don't belong to your ISP.

Re: Vent thread
Right. They do not care about ping. They care if the throughput they list is available and I doubt they really care about that either actually. Ping can be caused by way too many things for them to provide ping in their quality of service promise.

Re: Vent thread
Get rid of your Credit Cards!!!
They have always sucked for the most part and Now Days, even More!
They have fees for everything now.
Non-use fees.
Under-use fees.
Annual fees.
Late fees.
Fee Fees!
And many more!!!
A credit card we used to have was commandeered by someone once.
The perps had called the credit card company and made a change to the billing address to an address in Texas (I live in Minnesota) so that we wouldn't receive the bill any more and we wouldn't see what was going on.
After not receiving a bill for awhile we called the credit card company to see what was going on.
The credit card company, Capital One, the "What's in Your Wallet" company, argued with us that we had changed it and gave us guff.
The perps also had changed it again to somewhere in Virginia also before they were foiled.
We finally got it changed back to our address after much trouble.
Also, we found out that someone else made about $7000.00+ worth of purchases on it.
We went right to the police and also all the places you go when something like this happens.
The police and other agencies said that all they need is a copy of your statement that they probably took from the mail stream somewhere and with that info it is very easy to take over someone's account.
The FBI of course also became involved.
We ended up freezing the account right away of course and we were not liable for any of the purchases made by the perps.
The Police Detectives and the FBI agent involved all said that they would Never have a credit card, Never - and that none of them do have one either.
We paid off what we had on a couple of them and with much trouble, got rid of them entirely.
The trouble is, credit card companies fight you tooth and nail to prevent you from canceling a card.
They keep adding fees onto your account when you (try to) pay them off.
We finally got the Attorney General involved and Finally severed ourselves from the cards totally!
We went through he same ordeal trying to cancel our son's credit card!!!
I also had an AARP credit card that I thought was OK, and it was better than others, but it too started to screw us so Out it went, with only a little less trouble than the Cap. One cards gave us.
Wouldn't you think that AARP would endorse a good company? Not always so!
Anyway, we Have been Totally Clean of any Filthy Credit Cards and their Corrupted companies for about a year now and have never Felt Better than we do now about it!!!
We save money for purchases or do without until we can afford them.
We keep enough money in a savings account to handle most emergencies.
Hey, just like the good old days!!!
DOWN with Credit Card Companies AND their idiotic blood-sucking cards!!!
Let's PUT THEM OUT OF BUSINESS!
Back to FREEDOM!!!
It is SUCH a GREAT Feeling!!!
