I am noticing some things as I age.
First one is that I do not eat candy as I used to because the weight does not come off as easy as it used to. So one day I opened the fridge and about eye level in the "butter tray" was a big bag of M&M candy (plain) sitting there just taunting me. I felt as though I was ogling those M&Ms as I did with other items when I was younger when there was a topless scene during Nightmare on Elm Street. Is this bad?

Second, I used to be really physical. I lifted weights, I played basket ball for 5 hours after work in the Phoenix heat around +110 degrees. I enjoyed biking, playing football, just goofing around and sometimes fighting. I try to stay in shape even now, for myself and for my job. The one thing I never cared for is running. I hate running. Anyway the story continues………. Today I went to cut some firewood. I found some oak trees that were dead so I cut them. I then had to carry the larger pieces of one tree down a hill, through a dry but rocky (loose rocks) river bed, over down trees in the river bed, then up the hill, and then place them into the bed of the pickup truck. Either those pieces were HEAVY or I am getting old. After carrying two large pieces, I had to rest and then go and get two more, then rest. I could hear and feel my heart pounding. I rolled both ankles on the loose rocks but thank goodness for work boots with ankle support. I got all the pieces loaded up and I took them home. There I unloaded it, which was not that big of a deal since I could park next to the stacked wood and drop the large pieces near the wood pile. I am glad that this was my last wood trip for this year.
