By the by, this only happened the 1st time I played MH-{UK}AVP:

Is there anyone that can loosely translate that for me?

It says to change your renderer to OpenGL. LOL

I don't like OpenGL. It's too dark.

progress continues

Image
I'm just about ready. I selected 4 of the alien classes and the one predator type. Granted, the aliens all have 30,000 health and preds have 20,000 so I'm upping the ante on this map with more NW2 weapons then I've ever put on a map before...

...but even with all that, it's not anything like a fair fight.

Similar to the caption for the 1st AvP movie (no matter who wins... we lose) the players on this map are horribly outclassed. Each of the different aliens has a different energy attack and the preds can both cloak themselves as well kill you with that shoulder cannon.

The only good thing is that so long as you have nothing in your MonsterHunt game that prevents the monsters from fighting each other, you stand a slim chance cuz then the predators & aliens will fight each other... while both are also trying to kill you.

I'm still selecting weapons and I'm trying to find a good texture for most of the ground, though I may leave that as is.

Only the screenshots are dark, but you need to use a newer OpenGL renderer, not the one that comes with UT.

Set also OneXBlending to False, under the OGL settings.

Not just the screenshots, I can adjust that afterwards with editing anyway. I mean when I'm walking around in OpenGL it's just darker for some odd reason.

I miss when I still had my Voodoo Graphix card.

Use the one I mention in my manual. The directions are complete and that is a great OpenGL Renderer.
