Making UTDemo work as a full retail version for free...

Many years ago I saw several topics around mentioning that it was possible to make the free UTDemo install into a full installation of UT. I actually found the original post I remembered on another forum. It was slightly different than this. It was how to turn UTDemo into a full version UT GOTYE.

I did it back then and it did work. Now the links that tell you how to do it don't work anymore and even back then it didn't work fully per a response I had posted stating my results when I had tried it.

This topic is solely for the purpose of listing a legal way to make a free UTDemo installation fully functional on the Master Server list. there have already been many attempts by me to do this and over the last few days I have failed. I have suggestions at HOOK's Forum but I haven't tried all of them yet. I will continue with this effort and invite you to try and post your results as well. Thanks!

I have had people install UT this way with success.
