OMG. That is one of the most awful things I have ever read. What a bastage this guy is. One word comes to mind: Liberal

I can't help but say that when I hear "Is that all I get?" all I think is....LIBERAL.

I know that responsible liberals aren't like this but hey...it is easy to say and prove that most liberals aren't responsible.

I see it like this. If you are a liberal you have no faith in yourself or the USA. If you are a liberal you either are so poor and desperate that you want and need to be supported by the government...

OR

You are so rich already that your conscience and your checkbook say that you could and should try real hard to help others because you easily can without suffering at all since your rich and you want to feel better about your wealth by assisting others. Note again that these both are based on being so rich it doesn't hurt to assist others.

I love hearing these people that are wealthy who say they and other rich folks should pay more taxes. To them I say "Let's only trade full ownership of wealth and income" and none will. They can't afford to pay my taxes on my income. Power to them for getting rich! Power to me when I get rich. But don't sit in the safe zone and say everyone rich like you should pay more. Nobody is stopping you! have at it or shut up!

This maggot in the story Nameless posted should be shot in the head! C'mon liberals! Tell me I'm wrong!

Damn Herm, don't drink beer while you're reading the hard core Republican press.
So who do you favour, Romney or Gingrich? Romney is more *cough* liberal than that old philanderer Gingrich. Does that make the choice harder? Support the liberal candidate, or throw in with the unashamed adulterer? ;)

Getting back to Mr. "Is that all I get?", I wouldn't shoot the little nematode, but there is a section in Canadian law where psychopaths can be locked up indefinitely. He should be declared as such and the key thrown away.

Unless he's smart enough to be satisfied with what he's already stolen; I fully expect that when he gets out in 7-10 years he will go right back to ripping people off.

I would have taken Gingrich but I suspect Romney will get the go ahead knod and I will end up voting for him. I would have voted for any of the original 8 before I voted for Obama and felt great about it. Ron Paul would have been my last choice but I would still vote for him in a heart beat against Obama. Obama is the worst President we have ever had. Even worse than Jimmy Carter who until now was easily the worst. Obama makes Carter look good!

I hope they do put that guy you mentioned away for life. Maybe I didn't read close enough but I'd bet his mother still loves him anyway.

Try to watch this if you can. This is exactly what I'm talking about. Somebody tell me he isn't a liberal! The judge is right to send this video to Congress.

CBS removed this video from YouTube, but another copy was found. Watch it quick before it's gone.

http://revolutionarypolitics.tv/video/v ... o_id=15915

This is what is wrong with most liberals in America and this is what is wrong with having too big of a government which EVERYBODY knows is what liberals want more of. This what I'm tired of working to pay for with my taxes. Both of these people need to pay me back! She didn't pay rent and is upset the landlord is coming after her? OMG. The man is in his 3rd year of college that I paid for and he can't talk better than my 7 year old? I want my money back!

I hear what you're saying, he's a total low life, but is this guy the norm? I bet he isn't. There may be a lot of young people out there who accept this kind of help, use it properly, and pay back their loans but completely take the help they got for granted, like it was some kind of human right. I don't like that either. But I'm willing to bet that most people who get social assistance appreciate it.

The closest super market to where I live, and that I shop most often, at has a lot of low income people as customers. That's not surprising as there is a Baptist church sponsored apartment building in the neighbourhood for low income families. They just completed a "Dream Centre" across the street from the apartment building that gives the youngsters some place safe to hang out. It also has a food bank. My neighbours have commented on the long lineups in front of the Dream Centre building early in the mornings when the food bank is open.

A few years ago while I was shopping in that grocery store I saw a young man who had just lost his job buying a few groceries with an "emergency" food coupon from the welfare office. It was good up to $35 but he was only buying about $13.50's worth. It was obvious that he was feeling deeply humiliated to even need the help, and was therefore refusing to use the coupon's full value. (I hope he didn't go hungry later in the week.)

What the heck are we supposed to do? Throw everyone out of that apartment building? Close the food bank? Shut down the welfare office?

Or do we seek to use the information age's technology to help us whenever we catch a scum bag system abuser like the young dude in the video? This guy's social security number should go into a data base, and it should be damned hard for him to get help in the future.

I am open to other suggestions that might make the social safety net more cost effective.

But I would be very dismayed to see us revert to the kind of democracy of 100 years ago where good honest people starved to death in their unheated homes because there was no help for them.

p.s. The guy in the video isn't a liberal. He's a scumbag. A system abusing scumbag. He's as bad as little "is that all I get?" Ronnie, in that he takes no responsibility for his actions. Little Ronnie admitted in court that he took everything that his mother had, but felt in no way responsible for the fact that she is now living in a Salvation Army homeless person's shelter. Mr. "That's just the way that I am" sounds exactly the same to me.

At some point here in the good old US it will come to a boiling point which is about now.

I think you are wrong. Easily, the mass majority here in the US that is working our system has been the whole time. I frequent a store where every single person in line in front of me and every person I can see in other lines pays for all sorts of crap with a government issued free food for you card. I mean it: 9 of 10 people pull out and pay with their "Lone-Star" card which is food stamps on a credit card. these folks have several hundred (like $400.00 USD) to spend in a month.

That is a new car payment to me for Freak'n free for life and yes, they have way better cars than mine.

It is obvious to me that you don't get it since you aren't here. I can't blame you for that. I understand and appreciate and respect your opinion but until you are here in the the US and have worked your whole life and never taken a handout from anyone or the government I can't expect you to understand where I am coming from. I have always been that you get what you deserve.

The people in the video I showed here are way more common that you think HERE! He should not have ever made it passed the 8th grade and possibly the 5th grade. If this isn't totally clear to you and if EVERY SINGLE THING I have already said ISN'T EITHER then I can't get through to you. You are a liberal. I can't get through to almost 1/2 of the US either so consider yourself part of them.

I certainly understand your idealistic attitude but it leans towards socialism after a certain amount of time and effort and continued abuse on the people like me who suffer for it. Either you live and succeed to achieve for yourself or you live because you suckle off others. There is hardly any in-between. My teats hurt badly and have for too long been bleeding from being hit on too often.

I get everything you are saying but when it comes to ME OR YOU and you aren't contributing at all...you can go to hell! There is ZERO doubt anywhere in the world that there are people who get it done and people who don't.

Suggested reading: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Ant_an ... rasshopper

Please tell me the Ant is wrong in any other way than letting the Grasshopper off the hook at the end.

By the way I ask you this: Can you tell me who the Ant is and who the Grasshopper is in relation to whether they are Republicans or Democrats? I can. I'm the damn Ant!

Read the whole link before you answer please! I cant wait to see what you say to this response. if you answer with anything else that absolute agreement i suggest you move to China or the USSR or Cuba or Korea or Venezuela as soon as possible to be with like minded people.

It sure sounds like the whole system in the USA is broken then. You've got the Wall Streeters getting a huge bailout that cost billions and billions. And it seems you've got lots of people at the other end of the socioeconomic scale cheating too. And and there you are stuck in the middle.

We've already seen how the fatcats misused the bailout money to give themselves and their friends fat bonuses. Clearly they didn't learn a thing, because they are right back playing the games they played before the crash, and are totally unrepentant. Hell, they're smug about what they got away with.

And at the bottom there are people who take the hand outs when they don't need or deserve them. That kind of getting a little more at tax payers expense is what put many of the European nations into a bad way.

I'd like to think that it's not that bad here in Canada, but I have no idea just how many people are cheating at either end of the economic spectrum, or if it's as epidemic as you report it is down there.

I will say this though: There may be a lot of grasshoppers in both countries who would gladly be ants, if only the bosses hadn't shipped all the jobs to China and Mexico.
It's grim here in this province. Manufacturing is all but dead here now, and Ontario was once the "engine" of the Canadian economy. We are now officially a "have not" province.
Last summer I rode my bike along a road that used to have all kinds of small to medium sized industries on it. I hadn't been along that way for a while. There was one large company that was holding on, and a couple of smaller factories that were still there. They're all gone now too. So that whole stretch of road and the one that ran parallel to it a little farther down now have nothing much happening. The building that housed one of the first places to close back in 1989 still has to this day a "for rent" sign on it. No takers so far, and now all or most of its neighbours are empty or just warehouses.

I hope I didn't come across the wrong way in my post. I get real agitated sometimes when discussing this stuff. yes, The rich here keep getting richer. I'm totally OK with that. The poor here keep getting more and more for free. The middle class which is me is getting squeezed the whole time.

Understood, m8. No problem ;)

More ants forced to become.......???

Yet another place in Ontario that was essentially purchased just so it could be shut down.
US Steel bought and shut down most operations in a steel mill in Hamilton, Ontario for just that reason a while back.
It's how I lost my job to Gencorp in 1991. Except for one plant in the US deep south, all operations have since been moved overseas in the mean time.
Will Caterpillar and US Steel do the same some day? It does seem to have been a trend. First call the jobs home, then move them overseas. :?

I used to get agitated about this kind of thing, but now I am all burned out and just feel bad for the latest victims.

OMG! This is too cool. Somebody sent this to me and he and I weren't even discusiing this forum or anything. Check this out!

THE NEW ANT and the Grasshopper, Two Versions:

This one is a little different...
Two Different Versions...
Two Different Morals...

OLD VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat all summer long building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the ant is warm and well fed.

The grasshopper has no food or shelter so he dies out in the cold.

MORAL OF THE OLD STORY: Be responsible for yourself!

MODERN VERSION

The ant works hard in the withering heat and the rain all summer long building his house and laying up supplies for the winter.

The grasshopper thinks the ant is a fool and laughs and dances and plays the summer away.

Come winter, the shivering grasshopper calls a press conference and demands to know why the ant should be
allowed to be warm and well fed while he is cold and starving.

ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, CNN, MSNBC and NPR show up to
document and provide pictures and video of the shivering grasshopper
next to a video of the ant in his comfortable home with a table filled with food.
America is stunned by the sharp contrast.

How can this be, that in a country of such wealth, this poor grasshopper is allowed to suffer so?

Kermit the Frog appears on Oprah
with the grasshopper and everybody cries when they sing, 'It's Not Easy Being Green...'
Occupy the Anthill stages a demonstration in front of the ant's house where the news stations film the SEIU group singing, We shall overcome.

Then Rev. Jeremiah Wright has the group kneel down to pray for the grasshopper's sake, while he damns the ants.

President Obama condemns the ant and blames
President Bush 43, President Bush 41, President Reagan, Christopher Columbus, and the Pope
for the grasshopper's plight.

Nancy Pelosi & Harry Reid exclaim in an interview with Larry King and on another show (Anderson Cooper 360) that the ant has gotten rich off the back of the grasshopper, and both call for an immediate tax hike on the ant to make him pay his fair share.

Finally, the EEOC drafts the Economic Equity &
Anti-Grasshopper Act retroactive to the beginning of the summer.

The ant is fined for failing to hire a proportionate number of green bugs and, having nothing left to pay his retroactive taxes, his home is confiscated by the Government Green Czar and given to the grasshopper.

The story ends as we see the grasshopper and his free-loading friends finishing up the last bits of the ant's food while the government house he is in, which, as you recall, just happens to be the ant's old house, crumbles around them because the grasshopper doesn't maintain it.

The ant has disappeared in the snow, never to be seen again.

The grasshopper is found dead in a drug related incident, and the house, now abandoned, is taken over by a gang of spiders who terrorize the ramshackle, once prosperous and peaceful, neighborhood.

The entire Nation collapses bringing the rest of the free world with it.

MORAL OF THE STORY: Be careful how you vote in 2012.

Make sure that you pass this on to other ants.
Don't bother sending it on to any grasshoppers because they wouldn't understand it anyways.

Two people ahead of George W. as the worst? LOL! C'mon, you gotta admit georgie was the worst puppet middle america has ever had. I know it, and the folks outside of middle america know it. If you don't admit that, then it invalidates anything else you say politically. You also mention Liberals a lot, here and in other posts. Anyone you don't like gets labelled a liberal. That's interesting that in the need to label them, they get lumped in as a part of the 'other' side of your political spectrum. You seem a bit entrenched in middle america's political system, which is too bad. You have two whole choices, but really they're just the same spoiled fruit. Another choice is not to participate in that system and ask for something better.

As a young man I liked the (canadian) tories because their color was blue and they represented the west. Oh the naivety. Now I can step back and see the government has become something that rules us, and I want it to be dismantled and replaced where the people govern themselves, and any official bodies just do basic administration.

It is interesting what you have mentioned Helen. Ever notice how political correctness has changed the way we talk and think? Example: The word "Stereotype" is just a word. It used to not be positive or negative. It used to just be a word like another word "Profiling".

Now each are used in a negative hue. To me they just are what they are; words . They do however bring me to the point of this: Stereotyping someone or a behavior is only wrong when they have been cast into a group that they don't resemble. But stereotyping can't even happen at all unless there is a recognized and more common than not trait that people fall in to. Profiling is almost the same. If it looks like a duck and acts like a duck it must be a duck is what the old saying says. Is it always right? Nope. Is it usually right? Most likely yes especially if the profile meets plenty of preset standards.

All of that said be aware that when I call someone a Liberal it is because in that particular discussion, based on what they have said, I have already decided that they walk and talk like a Liberal so it is likely they are one. The things they say help me to profile them. profiling is a scientifically proven method that is very accurate. To try to shorten this up I'll just say that if you argue or disagree with most of the things I say politically then I must assume you are opposed to my views. Utilizing transitive properties it then becomes safe for me to assume your political views oppose mine as well. I can then objectively say that if my views are Fiscal Conservative Republican then yours must be the opposite which means you are a Liberal.

I'm beginning now to lean Independent because I find I don't like regulations much at all whether they belong to Democrats or Republicans. I don't like how either party has manged my country in the last 8 years. About the last Bush in office, ask any conservative this: Was Bush more conservative or liberal in his last 4 years. Easy answer. Liberal. the last 4 years is when everything went to hell and it has continued with Obama who has spent this country into a long and slow demise...
