Nexus 7 32gb Tablet or I-Pod Touch 32gb

My wife wants to get an I-pod touch? Why because one of her friends has one and it is portable. More portable than her laptop.

I am trying to get people's opinion about this. I am thinking why get something with a small screen such as the I-pod touch when you can get a bigger screen, but yet portable size of the Nexus 7.

What my wife wants it for- A portable way to watch Netflix, music, and misc stuff.
She does not need or do I want to pay for a data plan on my cell phone carrier so, we will be connecting to my wifi at home and where she can connect it to when she is around. She understands that this limits her but at this point in time, at this second, at this juncture, she is ok with that.

What are your thoughts?

iPods are way too small. Go iPad size or larger. Nexus is good too.

I concur with Hermskii - my grandchildren all have the iPods - way too small.

Another is the Kindle Fire HD - a lot less expensive.

Honestly, I would say anything but Ipod nor any other product from Apple, I hate Apple. -.-
