For the 5 or 6 of you out there that might actually care but haven't heard yet somehow, Harley Davidson has introduced an all new big twin engine they call the "Milwaukee Eight".

I read the magazine version of this story at the library last week. The new engine is counter balanced. Could solid mount engines be making a comeback? The magazine article didn't specify.

I listened to the "sound cloud" feature to hear the motor. It sounds very smooth. Too smooth even. Almost *gasp* kind of Japanese.

Those stock pipes are going to have to come off!

I'll be watching very closely to see what HD does with their trikes. I think if I was ever to go touring again it should be on one of those, customized to my specifications, of course.

p.s. I had to laugh when an ad came up down the side of the page for Indian motorcycles.

OMG that low Canadian dollar!

The Harley Davidson Tri Glide trike that I'd like to buy for a touring bike is so expensive! I guess I'll just have to win a LOT of money then. Compare a US list price of $34,339 with a Canadian list of $41,799. Ouch.

I can't believe that changing from stock Vivid Black to "Superior Blue" paint would add $1000. Or that a factory custom "Sun Ray" heated seat would add $1063.95 to the price. When the heck did stuff like that get priced into the stratosphere? Total = $43,862.95 Cdn. before taxes.
(That would be $36,013.95 in the US of A)

It begins to look like only rich people should bother making a "bucket list". At the moment I feel more like adding it to a "F***-it list".

Triumph has introduced an all new Bonneville T120 with an amazing 1200cc of displacement. Peter Egan of Cycle World fame has bought one and likes it a lot. I certainly like the looks of it, and am pleased to hear that it is all that the previous versions needed to be.

So just another reason to want to win the lotto.
