I had a registration bot making about 20 new accounts a day for years on this forum. It got to where I just deleted them all about every week or two and it took too long to see if any of them were real. Luckily, the bot always used 10-character names, and they were usually gibberish usernames like LSUF7EVMQP OR JASON45676.
I then added a new anti-spammer question that was much harder to answer for a bot one still managed to get through it the very next day. Luckily, I saw the email associated to the account was a spammer email, so I nuked the account.
Everything seems to have really calmed down and so now I'm trying to fix the YouTube videos and then I will upgrade the board version from 3.2.3 up to 3.2.11. Later I will upgrade it again to 3.3.14 and that will make it totally current except i will have to get a new style meaning the way the board looks. This one is called BLACK by ARTY and I love it but there is not a newer version that meets the requirements of never version of the software this board will run on. This forum will get a new look but will be far more secure than ever before and will fully function.
Some of you including me may have to update our picture.
If you have any opinions, I'd love to hear them as far as new styles go.

Hi, i did have the same problem over at vipclan.no, so i took down the Registration there. To avoid this on my new forum, user need to make a request on Discord. btw , i have the lastest phpbb at clanworks.no.

Actually, it will be a big pain in the butt because I suck at web stuff like forums and PHPBB. I have no idea how I got all of this stuff to work back then. I have to upgrade from 3.2.3 to 3.3.14. It is a big jump, and I'm worried I'll break stuff beyond repair. About to hire a pro to do it all for me. As I mentioned in a help forum, first, I want to fix my YouTube issue where videos don't play because they are hidden due to not being safe or some crap like that. I will get it fixed in the next 5-days for sure.
I have a ton of good videos here people can't see any more after I did a security upgrade with my webhost.
