My dad had "chased" a few of those NASA monkeys back in the 50's.
He was a NAVY test pilot and was one of the "right stuff" guys.
He worked along side and with John Glenn, Alan Shepherd and even Chuck Yeager, to name a few.
He would probably have been an astronaut but was killed in Jan. of 1959 testing an A3D Skywarrior with the then very new Eagle missle.
He was THE first to test fire the Sparrow Heat Seeking misslie in 1956 from his plane while stationed aboard the USS Lexington Aircraft carrier on her Maiden voyage. (her rebuilt maiden voyage)
He was a wonderful dad that I only had a few years with, am very proud of and I miss him dearly!
I just had to say this!

I am moved by your comments hook and thus said, I will in some way find a way to get hat picture built into this forum in honor of yoyr father someday. Thank you for sharing. As you know, I too am NAVY. Enough said. I'll find a way as sure as your dad surely always tried to find a way. I too lost my dad at a young age. For me, he died just days away from my 7th birthday. He acually died on my older sister's 12th birthday.

Hey Hook, is there another picture that we can use that will be more in line with MH while reminding you with no doubt that it is here or where I really want to put it because I'm trying to honor your father. Can you get a good Monster Picture and add his initials to it or something and I'll try to get gopostal to put it up over at www.MonsterHuntMayhem.com . How does that sound. I want a monster becasue I have no intention of really pushing CG over at that website even though there is already lots of CG stuff there.

Tonight I took some ribbing from a buddy about how MEAT's server is always busy and my CG is dead lately. I stressed that all I have to do is play and people jump on quick. Meerkat handed my but to me often and I met a new guy named Zaraza who seemed great and yes old faithful Namless got in there in just minutes after I and Hippykat showed up.

I haven't updated CG in years and feel strongly that I like that MEAT has a great server and I don't want to compete or especially seem like I'm trying to. I know I need new maps and some cool mods like the spawn protection and blood trails and all of that but I think I like CG as it is. You folks ell me. Should I finally get around to it in a year or so and rework CG? I like it to be just what peoiple remember. It is always there. Hardly ever crashes, and eerybody knows most of the plenty of maps though there are at least 20 that nobody ever plays for a year at a time. How can you want knew maps when you haven't played all of the old ones. I'm old and lazy. Just ask K. CYA!

but yeah it is two gametypes. hmmm

I like having them together on the forum cause we all kind of mix it up and play on all the servers because of this.

I think if you have a separate website for the CG server you should retain its spot next to MH on the forum!
